this is truly a historic day for history...just imagine Dr. Martin Luther King once said his famous.."I have a dream" speech, minorities were not allowed to vote!! and to be in the presence of this day really brings tears to my eyes and chills all over!! I love living in a conutry that really truly let's us exercise out rights as Americans!! I proudly say I'm proud to be an American!! Obabma 2008!!! si se puede!!
It IS exciting to have your candidate win . . . and it IS thrilling that an African American can be elected president . . . Thank HEAVENS we have evolved enough for that to take place! =o)
I may not agree with some of Obama's liberal/socialist policies (of course, I don't really agree with McCain's either, so I guess it doesn't matter! haha), but I think it is really cool that America finally has a non-traditional white male as President. It was really neat to see the responses of some of the African Americans that had lived through all of the terrible civil rights struggles. I'm glad that we are starting to get to a point where race/gender/skin color aren't what matter
