Gabe Goes up the Stairs

Gabe LOVES to go up the stairs! He foes this ALL the time! At first it freaked me out, but now he is pretty good at it, and pretty fast too!! Alex thinks its hilarious too!!! So we have to make sure to keep the gates at the top and bottom of the stairs closed at all times! Crazy baby!!!

(Crap it posted sideways! GRR! Oh well you can either flip your screen over or turn your head to the side LOL Yes that is my hand behind him. I dont fully 100% trust him not to fall backwards, and yes I did tell Alex to get out of the way LOL He likes to block the top step for some reason when ANYONE is coming up the stairs! Crazy boy!)

8 more Days!

Gabe will be one in 8 days! Wow time sure does fly once we get those kiddos out! I remember this time last year I was sitting at my desk at work hoping that my water wouldn't break WHILE I was in class!! How traumatic would that have been?! I mean with Alex I wasnt working so I didnt have to worry about WHERE my water would break. Which it never ended up doing anyways, so I wasnt sure what that would be like. I used to have dreams that I'd flood the classroom! NASTY!!!!!!!! Anyway thankfully my water did end up breaking, but while I was at home at 3am! Imagine? I'd be soooo upset if it would have waited  4 more hours LOL I would have been at work by then LOL

Anyways looking back at the first year of Gabe's life is so weird! I mean so much has changed yet stayed the same. It's like he has ALWAYS been in our family. I dont remember life with just one kid. (Well I do but you know what I mean), Alex is so good with him most of the time. He does try to play with him and doesn't always remember that Gabe isn't the best walker on earth and that he doesn't know that throwing matchbox cars at people hurts! LOL So Alex gets mad a lot of the time at Gabe. But then he'll see him sleeping and sing him "The Sunshine Song", or run and get him a blanket or a toy to snuggle with. Or he'll run into the room and just want to give Gabe a hug and a kiss or dance with him LOL I think we waited to have Gabe join our family at a perfect age for Alex.

So Alex is VERY excited about Gabe's birthday Party in a few days. He keeps telling me how he is going to help him open his presents and feed him his cake so he doesn't get messy LOL I need to show Alex pictures of HIS first birthday when he made a mess LOL

Going Private

Ok, so I totally freaked myself out watching too many episodes of Criminal Minds last night where serial killers were perusing through peoples blogs and other public networking forums, and finding out way too many details about them and killing entire families! LOL Ok so I know its just not THAT common, but for my own peace o mind I'm going to make my blog private, so if you want to continue to look at my pictures and read our ever so entertaining hours of ummm nothing-ness then let me know so I can add you! Almost 1!!!!!!!

How in the world is it possible that its been almost a year since Gabe was born??? I still VIVIDLY remember when he looked like this!! My cute sweet sleeping newborn!! Now he is such a big kid!! Walking and starting to talk! How can that be?? Time sure flies!!! In 29 days my baby will be One! WOW!!!!!
