Thankful for November 25th

Today I'm Thankful for Alex's conversational skills! lol That kid seriously CRACKS me up!

David: We should go to the zoo today and see the new Comodo Dragon exhibit!
Tania: Oh that would be fun! We SHOULD go!
Alex: No, Mom! That's not a good idea! It's too cold for YOU! And you've been sick! Maybe NEXT weekend if you are good all week! And eat all of your dinner everyday! Now, you should take a little rest.

LOL Apparently I tell him this a lot! LOL

Since I've gone back to work, I drop Alex and Gabe off with my Mom every Morning. I bundle them up and make sure the boys wear their warm beenies to keep them extra warm. Alex always wants me to take Gabe in the house first.

Me: Who goes in first? You or baby Gabe?
Alex: Baby Gabe for he doesn't get sick!
Me: Ok, that's a good idea!
Alex: Mom! Don't forget to wear your beenie! It's cold outside!
Me: I don't need a beenie sweetie! Thank you though!
Alex: You DO need one! You are going to get sick!
Me: I don't have a beenie right now. It's ok, I'll run in the house!
Alex: No it's NOT OK Mom!
Me: Yes it is! I'll be right back! (I run in a drop off Gabe)
Alex: Mom, if you get sick Dad is going to be mad!
Me: Why will Dad be mad?
Alex: Because you will be grumpy!
Me: Why would I be grumpy?
Alex: Because Dad will ask for a snack! You should borrow my beenie next week!

LOL Apparently when I'm sick I get grumpy when asked for a snack? LOL

We were driving home from my Mom's house last night and Alex wanted to talk to David.

Daddy: Hello?
Alex: Hi Daddy! What are you doing?
Daddy: Just hanging out. What are you doing?
Alex: Just sitting in the car
Daddy: Why are you just sitting? That sounds boring!
Alex: Mom wont let me walk around the car! It's not safe!
Daddy: That's a good idea! (David was getting distracted doing something, so there would be long pauses, Like 2 second pauses every so often)
Alex: Dad, you are being boring!
Daddy: Boring? Why am I being boring?
Alex: Because you aren't talking to me! Talk to me!
Daddy: Ok, what should we talk about?
Alex: Sing me the Sunshine Song!
Daddy: (Proceeds to sing the song)
Alex: Dad, you dont sing good!
Daddy: I dont sing good?! Oh man!
Alex: You need to sing it like Mama does!
Daddy: Like Mom does?! But Mom smells funny!
Alex: You smell funny jerk face!
Daddy: Jerk face?! That's not nice!
Alex: You said Mommy smells funny!
Daddy: That's true.
Alex: Bye Dad!

He then hangs up on him and tells me

Alex: Mom we should call someone else... like Konner!

LOL Crazy kid! He was cracking up the entire conversation with David. Except when David said I smelled funny LOL You can mess up his Sunshine song, but dont you DARE tell him his mom smells funny LOL

I love my kid!

Thankful for November 24th

Today I'm Thankful for the little things. From a huge baby grin from Gabe or an "I love you Mommy" from Alex can totally make my day! Or just a hug from David can make me less frustrated about work! The little things that count!

Thankful for November 23nd

Today I'm thankful for a short work week! (o:

Since everything is so messed up with my class, I feel stressed and irritated about the fact that my class is 7 weeks behind where I want them to be! )o: I gave them a math test on Friday, and the highest grade was a 60%! Thats horrible! So now my principal wants me to redo the past 7 weeks! GRRR So a short week is WELCOMED!

Thankful for November 22nd

Today I'm thankful for Costco's free samples! lol They are the best on weekends! (o: I can seriously have lunch on the free samples LOL

The Sunshine Song!

Ever since Alex was born, whenever he cried I would sing him "You are My Sunshine" which became known as "The Sunshine Song". He would want me to sing it to him while he was going to sleep, scared, sad etc. Also no one else is ALLOWED to sing that song since its MY song to him LOL Anyway as Gabe's due date was drawing closer I decided I needed a song special for Gabe since I didn't think Alex would let me sing the Sunshine song to him too since it was HIS song. Well the first day Gabe was crying Alex was really concerned and told me "Mommy, he wants you to sing him the Sunshine song!" So we both sang it, and he stopped crying! There have been MANY times where I've been in the shower, or cooking or driving when Gabe's been crying or being fussy, and Alex started to sing him the Sunshine song! (o: So here he is!

Thankful for November 21st

Today I'm Thankful for coupons! I bought formula and diapers today with coupons and they were super cheap! Diapers for $8 and formula for $17! (Diapers are usually $19.99 and formula is usually $27.99!) I was very excited! LOL

Thankful for November 20th

Today I'm Thankful for the fact that my babies both woke up in a good mood and let me shower and get ready for work without waking up STARVING or upset while I was in the shower! (o: It was such an easy morning!

Today I am Thankful for my co-workers. They seriously are awesome! Since I went into labor early with Gabe I "ruined" my surprise babyshower at work. So everyday I've been getting gifts they had bought for Gabe. They are really nice to do that for us! (o:

Today I'm Thankful for Ibuprofen 800! My knee has been KILLING me all day!

Thankful for November 16th

Today I am thankful that my Mom watches my kids for me! That I don't have to rely on daycare or strangers to take care of my most prized treasures!

Hi ho, Hi ho it's off to work I go!

So I've been off work since Sept. 30th! I've loved every minute of being home with my kids. Sure some days (who am I kidding, MOST days) I'm bored. I love my kids to death, but I also miss my work, and my kids at school! Oh why cant I just take my babies to work with me? That would be so much fun! (o: Oh well! Anyway I'm excited to go back, but kinda anxious to leave Gabe ALL day! It's always hard for me the first few weeks after breaks from work to leave Alex, and now leaving BOTH is going to suck! BUT at least they are going with my Mom! I'm so lucky to have the luxury of having my Mom watch them for me. Having them be with her is as good, (lets face it somedays lol if NOT better) than being with me! (o: She is so patient with the kids it amazes me! Alex is in the "I want to do EVERYTHING myself! Even if it takes me 10 times as long to do it" phase that some days seriously frustrates me lol But I love that he wants to TRY. So I have to remind myself that he is only 3, and someday he WONT want to help anymore.

Ok well wish me luck that I dont freak out at work tomorrow! LOL I will probably call my Mom 484652156 times in 8 hours LOL Oh well!

A wise man once said "The working man is a sukka" we'll see... lol

Gratitude

Every year I do a Gratitude Tree with my kids are work. Every Day from November 1st until Thanksgiving, they cut out a hand print leaf and write what they are thankful for. I dont usually do it with them. But this year I decided that I'm going to post one thing that I'm thankful for on my blog (o:


Since I'm late at starting I'll try to do 15 today!

I'm Thankful for....

1. My husband. He always calms my fears and stresses.
2. My healthy beautiful boys!
3. My parents! They are seriously amazing, and I love them!
4. My loving Sis! She is ALWAYS there for me and my family . I love her!
5. My brother, we ALWAYS have fun making fun of each other and hanging out.
6. My In-Laws. They are always there for their kids and extended family.
7.. My job. I love it! Seriously everyone who has a job right now no matter what it is should be Thankful for it!
7. My house, in this day and age when people are loosing their homes, I'm very grateful to have ours!
8. My Blackberry! I seriously LOVE my phone! I can't stand being without it! lol I'm ADDICTED!
9. My health.
10. The health of everyone in my family!
11. My FOM! She's awesome! I love her!
12. Friends... you know who you are! I love you too!
13. The ability to laugh at myself!
14. Tylenol! (Stupid knee!)
15. Our awesome medical insurance! No copays for the kids until they are 18! How awesome is that?!

Ok so tomorrow I'll post ONE thing and everyday until Thanksgiving!

Dentist

Alex had his first dentist appointment yesterday! He did so well! His dentist office is really cool. It's all decked out for little kids. They have an arcade room with free video games to play, a huge TV with kid movies playing, computers so they can play, book corner etc its a really nice pediatric dental office! I would certainly recommend anyone to go there if they lived here! (o: oh and if they had kids lol Anyway he had no cavities! Dr. Kelly said his teeth were PERFECT! At first he wasn't too sure about getting xrays done, but he did cooperate and they got good pictures if his teeth! (o: Anyway, over all Alex LOVES the dentist! I'm going to try and take him every 6 months so that he doesn't have any problems, and he doesn't hate going. He got a sticker, a t-shirt, a ball and a brand new tooth brush! (o: I really love this dental office! too bad they don't see adults lol

Alex was watching "Cars" on the TV. (this was before
he saw the arcade lol)

He was showing me the games.
He looked all sad and said "Mom, I wish
my dad was here." I asked "Why are you nervous?"
and he said "No Mom! So he can help me win all these
video games!" LOL So next time Daddy is coming with us!

He's ready for the x-rays!

He wasn't sure about them at first, then they let
him pick a flavor cover to bite on and he picked
bubble gum flavor because he said the name
was silly! lol Then he did great!

They were going to start the exam and teeth
cleaning.

They had this TV on the ceiling! How cool is that?
They were even playing his new FAVORITE movie
"BOLT!"

His cool glasses so tooth paste doesnt go into
his eyes.

I was so proud of my big kid! Didn't cry or anything! He said he Loves going to the dentist! And he cooperated so well! If only he would be that good while I brush or floss his teeth! lol
