Potty Training

We've been working on potty training Alex for a little while now. At first he would have accidents all the time. Then he thought it was hilarious to go potty in the toilet lol So whenever we saw him "concentrating" (pooping) we would run to the bathroom, and he would do his business. Yesterday he had only one accident all day!! My mom said it was mainly her fault, because she couldn't get him to the bathroom fast enough (Since she has lke 4 other little ones to care for all day). But I was way impressed! He LOVES his undies lol I need to get him some more this week. What a big kid! I'm hoping that by his 2nd birthday he will be fully potty trained! How awesome would that be?? No more buying diapers!!!!!! (Well until we decide to have another baby anyways) I'm way excited LOL

School News

I wasn't going to teach Saturday school this year, because I wanted to hang out at home with David and Alex! But Vice Principals sure know how to make you feel bad and convince you to do stuff lol So I was talked into teaching Saturday School. Its only for 6 weeks, so it shouldn't be a big deal right? Anyway I was given the choice of 2nd, 5th, 6th, or 8th grade. I decided I sure didn't want MY own kids 6 days in a row. So 5th and 6th grades were out of the question. The 8th graders are way too moody and annoying so I didn't want them brats either. So I chose the cute 2nd graders! Hopefully that was a good idea! LOL Well either way we get paid extra for teaching Saturday school, so that will go into my dream car fund (which is a Tahoe!) And it's only for 4 hours so no biggie right?? Right??

P.S Saturday School isn't like weekend detention which is what *I* first thought when I heard it lol its extra help, and games for kids who NEED to come, and kids who WANT to come. You could teach in any style you want. I'm going to play games, and make it more interesting for them I hope. We'll have competitions, and teams and hopefully it will be fun! (o: If you have any ideas, throw them my way! (o:

Oh yeah on another note, there are about 6 teachers leaving this year, either moving out of AZ, or going on maternity leave etc. Anyway I was told that I could pick to teach whatever grade I want next year. I could pick Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th or 8th . If I like my 2nd grade class during Saturday school, I'll teach 2nd grade next year. I'm excited! (o:

Tooth Fairy

So I had 2 boys today who lost a baby tooth. I told them to throw them away because it was gross that they kept showing everyone and playing with them. They freaked out when I told told them to get rid of them like if it was a great travesty against man kind or something LOL Apparently teeth are going for about $5-$10 per tooth now a days from the tooth fairy! I feel totally gipped! My parents...errrr the tooth fairy never came to visit us when we lost teeth! What gives? What is the address to this alleged "Tooth Fairy"? I am sending her / him a bill plus unpaid interest for all of my baby teeth! What is that? People have about 32 teeth, so say I charge the tooth fairy about $10 a tooth plus interest which I will be kind and just double the amount per tooth, and add 22 years (since I was 6. I'm just assuming that I started loosing teeth when I was six), I am owed about $14,080! Cheap Tooth Fairy! LOL

Aha! I found it! You could email the Tooth Fairy Questions. I'm going to ask where I send my past due bill! It's going to go up again as of September! LOL

Hair Cut!

How sad, my baby is almost 2 and just got his second hair cut yesterday! (I forgot my camera the first time he had a hair cut lol) Poor kid is like his mom! I didn't have any hair until I was almost 3!! So people thought I was a boy, no matter how cute my mom would dress me! Oh well. Anyway his hair has actually been growing now, so when he got a bath or was rolling on the floor he would have some wild hair. So I decided he needed another hair cut! LOL He did so good! He didn't cry or anything, he was watching Go, Diego, Go! So he was pretty entertained! (o:

Feeling Left Out is The Worst!

I feel so bad for some of the "un-cool" kids in my class! Whenever we have P.E or have to pick groups, they are either picked last or are left without a group! I HATE that! I would always let the kids pick their own teams and groups so that they could work with their friends if they wanted to. Then I started to notice that the same kids were being left out. So *I* assigned them groups to work with, and arranged my seating chart so that the friends arent seating next to each other. And they are forced to be around other kids.

Teaching reminds me a lot of when I was in elementary school! Some things never change. There will always be the cool kids, the nerdy kids, the sporty kids. And the left out kids. I was fortunate to never have experienced being left out at school. But now as an adult I sometimes feel that with family and friends. It sucks! LOL So I feel for my poor little "Left out" kids!!!!

My bad idea!

I thought it would be nice to let the kids run around for P.E.. Sitting outside while the kids played P.E in 45 degree weather is so NOT fun!!

Cold!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh I was FREEZING outside this morning!!!!!!!!! It's only in its high 30's right now (at 8:30am). We stand outside as a school, and say the pledge, morning announcements and sing "Happy Birthday" to who ever is having a birthday. MAN I WAS FREEZING!!!!!!!!!! It's Arizona for crying out loud! It is NOT allowed to be this cold! I swear AZ has extreme weather, either its 120 outside, or in its 30s! That is crazy!!!!!! And to top it off my stupid heating / A/C system in my class is broken!!!!!!! So all my kids are all in their big coats! LOL I might be canceling P.E today. I dont want to sit out there and watch them for an hour outside. But it might be nice for them to run around and get warm? LOL We'll see...

Oh yeah! David got me a BEAUTIFUL watch for Christmas, it has little diamonds and its silver and the face is pink. Very cute and girly. Anyways, on Saturday I LOST IT!!!!!!!! I was so sad! I looked everywhere for it!!! I finally told David I lost it yesterday. He was like "That was a great waste of money!" )o: So I was dissapointed about loosing this watch since I don't have another one! I was going to have to go and buy one and spend more money on a watch. Oh well! Anyway I dropped my cell phone under my driver seat, and I felt something COLD! And I pulled it out and it was my BEAUTIFUL SILVER and PINK watch!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooooooo happy!!!!!!!! YEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time...

I guess I haven't been updating my blog as often as I should. I'm going to try and put at least one new post every day. And at least one picture. We'll see how that turns out.

We are heading into the third quarter of school! I cant believe it!! I've been teaching for 4 months already. I love my job most of the time. The kids came back from Christmas break HORRIBLE! They have been talking way too much, and are easily distracted! VERY annoying! We have a "Super Saturday School" program coming up on the 26th. I was going to teach it this year, but decided against it. I told the principal that I would be a substitute. I will come in when someone needs to take a Saturday off. But I like spending time with David and Alex on Saturday and Sundays! Not to mention sleeping in 2 days a week!! (o:

I'm looking into joining a gym this month. I want to start being healthier. I keep saying that, but I'm too lazy to actually get motivated. Now that Dustin has moved in with us, I will have more free time to myself. So I could either leave Alex with David or my Mom and go for an hour or so a day. Which will be great! I want to get a bike and a bike stroller thing so I could go riding with Alex too. I'm going to start cooking a lot better too. I need to find a healthy easy fast recipe cook book. I want to get a crockpot cookbook too! It would be so nice to have dinner done or almost done by the time I get home from work.

I feel like there are never enough hours in the day! My laundry room seems to be multiplying clothes everyday! How could 3 people make so much laundry?? I can never catch up on Laundry! Not to mention cleaning the house! And cooking! Ugh! I need to win the lottery and hire a maid and a cook! LOL

Slacker...

I am such a slacker lately! I haven't really been posting on my blog! I haven't even uploaded my pictures from New Years and when our family from California came to visit usoff my camera!! I meant to bring my usb cord thingie to work with me today so I could do it, while the kids were working on their Asia projects. Oh well!

Anyway David is going to California on Saturday morning to visit with family, and drive back with his brother Dustin who will be moving in with us for a few months to get settled! We are excited to have him with us! We decided to give him Alex's room, since it has less stuff, and we have been slacking on painting it and setting it all up anyways. And the computers are wired for internet in the computer room anyways. So Alex moved into our room on Monday. We brought in his bed and surprisingly enough even with our California King sized bed we still have more than enough room in there that it doesn't feel cramped! And his dresser and clothes will go into our closet.

I remember when my family moved from California to Arizona in 2003. Only my sister Jenniffer and I were left in CA. Then in like 2004 my sister moved to Arizona to be with our parents. So even though I had David, his family and our friends in California, I felt lonely without my parents. David's family is awesome (I know, I know, they are MY family too, and I love them to death), and have always made me feel welcomed and loved into their family, sometimes I just wanted my mom and dad! I know I sound like a whiny baby! LOL So when David and I decided to move to AZ I was THRILLED! I mean NOW I feel like a whiner again, because I miss Davids family and our friends like crazy! Ugh never satisfied! Anyway I lost my train on thought. When Jenniffer moved away it was like "That's it, all MY family is in AZ!" So I know how David feels being in AZ! Only it's a bit worse! We have little friends here, and my family is not as big as Davids. So I know how THRILLED David is since Dustin decided to move here! He could do guy stuff and get to know his brother better. They could join a gym and play video games. (I'm not the kind of wife that hates when her husband plays video games, or hangs out with his friends. So this will be good for me too, since I wont have to go watch Shoot Em Up movies all the time LOL) And since I'm more of a give me a book, or take Alex to the park kind of gal I am easily entertained anyways LOL
