Blissful Sleep

Last night we decided to go to sleep earlier! Especially since Alex has been such a pain in the butt in the mornings, and refuses to walk down the stairs alone. David has been carrying him because he seriously just WONT move! So instead of bedtime at 8:30, we start his bedtime at 7:30 so he could be asleep by 8pm. Well that didn't happen as planned. We started off to a good start, and he was in bed by 8pm, but the sleeping part just wasnt as easy! LOL He decided his jammies were itchy, then he had to pee, then he needed a book read, then another book, then another drink of water, then another pee break. Then his jammies were just TOO itchy he couldnt even stay still ANY longer. Then after I changed his jammies he decided those just werent RIGHT. He couldnt even STAND to be in them for 2 seconds! So after his 3rd jammie change he decided he needed another book, and more drinks. So come 9:30pm, he FINALLY fell asleep. I told him No more water, no more potty breaks, no more books ect. He finally fell asleep! Sheesh! So then I decided I was going to sleep too,, since David managed to sleep through all of this lol. I woke up at 11:30p and SWORE I had been sleeping for HOURS and HOURS. I was THAT refreshed! lol And then was so EXCITED to see it was only 11:30! So back to sleep I went! Then again at 3am I woke up again and swore it was time to be up! LOL And again was so terribly excited to see I had 3 more hours to sleep! So come 6am, I was super awake and ready to go! LOL I love those nights! (o: Hopefully it continues! (o:

Baby Shower

I had my baby shower this weekend! It was a lot of fun! My parents, and sister Jenniffer threw it for me! I must say they did a GREAT job! (o: They were a little stressed out, since my parents were getting their floor tiled, and they were promised out would be done by Friday afternoon, and it's STILL not done! The baby shower was supposed to be inside the house since its the end of August and HOT in AZ! But due to the tile not being done it had to be outside in the backyard. It also rained A LOT the night before, and it was threatening to rain in the morning too, so they didn't know what to expect! But since it rained, it wasn't TOO hit, just humid! But no one seemed to be THAT bothered by the heat or humidity. Especially NOT the kids! Crazy kids running around like it was 70 degrees outside! haha Anyway it was fun, and we got a lot of baby stuff! I need to get a dresser soon and start organizing Gabriel's clothes! I can't belive we'll have a new baby is about 6ish weeks! WOW! Time flies when you're having fun! (o: Anyway enjoy the pictures! (The one above is Jenniffer, me and my Mom)

I feel awful! I couldn't sleep all night for more than 45 minute increments. It was awful! I am so tired today too! Stupid being the second day of school, so I couldn't even call off work to sleep and rest! )o: I was SOOOO ready to just take some niquil last night too! Oh woes me!

I have a doctors appointment today, so I'll ask my doctor what I can take to get better soon! I don't want to be sick for my baby shower this weekend! That would suck big time!! )o: But more importantly right now I just want to be able to sleep tonight!!

Back to School

Last night we had out back to school night where parents can come in and meet their kids teachers. It was a SUPER long day! We got to work at 8:30am, and didn't leave until 8:45pm! Sure I could have left at 8pm, but Mr. Todd (Principla) decided to come and talk to me about my maternity leave and the fact that his daughter is in my class this year. I told him that he might want to consider putting her in the other 4th grade class since I'll be gone for 8 weeks come October. He said he knew that I was leaving, but he hadnt really thought about it. He told me he was happy his daughter was in my class, but he understood why I would want her in a different class. I would want Alex to have a steady teacher all year. So he is going to talk to her and let me know what they decided. (Haha on a side note, it would be kinda less pressure on ME if she was in a different class lol)



Anyway we had a lot of parents come and meet with me. I'm excited about going back to work. I think I would be even MORE excited if it wasnt uncomfortable to stand up for long periods of times because of my leg, but then again not be uncomfortable to stand up after sitting for long periods of time either lol No win for me! Oh well! I have 6 or 7 weeks with my kiddos before I start maternity leave! I'm kinda nervous about leaving them to a sub for 8 weeks! I will be involved in the hiring process of the new sub so that will be reasuring. Kinda sucks to be hired for 8 weeks too! Oh well! LOL I want my job back after 8 weeks! LOL We'll see, and hopefully this doesnt disrupt them too much! Oh well nothing I can do about it now! LOL



Anyway I start back on Monday, back to waking up early and rushing home to get dinners done, and laundry done and have Alex be mad at me for waking him up early! lol Back to our normal routine for 7 weeks and then we'll have a new baby and a new routine to get into for 8 weeks before I go back to work and then I'll wake and anger TWO kiddos! Sheesh! lol



My babyshower is next weekend. I'm excited to see my friends and family! And eat CAKE! lol YUM! Hopefully I start to feel more ready to have Gabriel. Right now we havent done ANYTHING! Oppps! Well I did sort through all of Alex's baby clothes. so that is all ready! We also took our hospital tour! (Which by the way our hospital is soooooooo much nicer than Parkview! All rooms are private, and there is a bed for David too!)



Well thats about it for now!



Oh yeah we scheduled a 3D / 4D ultrasound for next Saturday so that friends and family can come and see Gabriel if they want to! We're excited!

Bored............

I am so bored today its not even funny! I couldn't be a stay at home Mom! LOL We were super productive this morning though!

Today:
-Finished ALL the laundry
-Folded and put away ALL the laundry
-Washed dishes (Breakfast AND Lunch)
-Cleaned up toys
-Vacuumed
-Read books
-Built like 7 different roads out of legos
-Took a walk around out neighborhood.
-Got the mail for the past like 5 days! Yikes!
-Went online
-Started dinner
-Looked for entertaining stuff online (No such luck!)
-Watched shows with Alex
-Tried to convince Alex to take a nap
-Tried to convince Alex to play alone so I could take a nap
-Gave up trying to take a nap
-Tried to convince Alex to give me a massage
-Was told to give Alex a massage
-Gave Alex a massage lol
-Did some lesson planning for next week
-Got bored after like an hour
-Found some new friends on facebook lol
-Saw cute pictures of Dean and Ashleigh
-Started planning my classroom set up
-Got a million snacks (for Alex)
-Tried to convince Alex that apples were better than cookies for a snack
-Ate apples while Alex had cookies lol


And to think after all of this it's only 3:15 and I'm bored! I so couldnt do this everyday! lol I usually have stuff planned to do so I'm not so bored. We are rarely ever home all day. But we cant go to my parents house due to it being a construction zone lol So we are stuck at home. Its only around 102 so it's not THAT hot. I should have taken Alex to a water park or something. But its super overcast out, and I dont want him to burn! Oh well!!

Everything! He is such a fun boy! I love when he wants ME over everyone else in the world! I love the hugs and kisses I get all day every day! I love that he says I'm the best Mama ever!

When he wakes up a hundred thousand times a night for NO reason!

9. Do you want more kids?
Yes of course! Only 1 more though! After Gabriel is born, we're done!

Nope. October will be the last!

Yes he did! He now helps by taking Alex to the potty ALL the time! (o: He is an awesome very involved Daddy!

Kinda hahaha Alex is named after Lex Luthor from Superman (David is lucky I happed to LOVE the name Alexander!) No one calls him Lex though. They try to but they seriously dont really.
Kai was for baby Kai the little boy my family raised from around 2 months until he was 3. We loved that little boy so much, and he was the first actual little baby that David did stuff for. Before he met Kai he told me he never wanted to have children! You'd never know that by watching him interact with Alex or his niece and nephews!

Gabriel is named after Heath Ledger's characher in "The Patriot" I loved that movie!
Ryan is for a mutual friend we both have. David says that Ryan is his favorite friend! (o:

Opps I guess I answered this question already! LOL

Depends who he is with. We are both pretty fair with punishments and discipline him equally. So we are both the "Bad Guy"

Again it depends on who he got caught doing something wrong by lol

18. What is the longest you have been away from your children?
A few hours. I'm a HUGE wimp when it comes to leaving him more than a work day! I seriously wake up stressing out thinking about leaving Alex when I'm in the hospital with Gabriel! I wake up all worried, and stressed out thinking about it!! I hope everything goes as smoothly as with Alex's delivery that I was able to go home the following day! Jenniffer says that Alex is my "Mini Shadow" since I take him everywhere I can!

9. Bedtime routine?
At 8pm, we start bath time, then story and snuggles. By 8:30pm-9pm he is knocked out. He is getting SO much better at falling asleep on his own and staying asleep!

Yes they are! I love pedicures! Maybe this weekend I'll go get an updated one!

We had a short day today! Apparently our school is getting painted and the carpets need to be cleaned. So there is nothing we can do to our classrooms if the walls are wet with paint, and the floor is wet from being cleaned. So we had some meetings this morning, and left at noon! (o: And tomorrow we don't need to go in at all so that the walls, and carpet have a chance to dry! So We can't actually start setting our classrooms up until Wednesday! YEY! My Dad is on vacation this week and next week, so he said he will come help me on Wednesday, and Jenniffer is off Thursday and will come help me that day! I'm excited because I was a little worried about getting my bulletins and boarders and stuff up. Now I have help! Well Im sure someone at school would have helped me, but I felt bad asking since they have their own rooms to take care of! So this is nice!

Toy Closet Contained!

A few weeks ago I decided that the toy closet was a MONSTROSITY that needed to be DEALT with ASAP! I swear someone could have been killed in there! I almost died! lol Alex gets so many toys from friends, and family that seriously when he gets a lot of toys out it looks like Toys R Us came and threw up in our house! It's seriously THAT bad! While we had Mark over they would try and climb in there to get a certain toy and I'd heard a crash and some kid crying lol So enough was enough! I stepped into action! I thought this would be about an hour or 2 at the most! HA! 10 hours later lol David had to work that morning, so my parents came over to help me. I went to Target to get some shelving for the closet. I had NO clue what I should get. I wanted something that was easy for Alex to see what was inside the bins. So anyways here's the process of the cleaning.

I told Alex that we needed to make a toy pile for little boys that don't have any toys. At first he was excited to help with that part, and was putting all sorts of toys in the bag. Until he realized that we were giving them AWAY! Then that piled started to dwindle down to like 3 toys lol So I had to secretly put stuff in the pile without him noticing. We donated the toys to Phoenix Children's Hospital, and threw away a bunch of broken toys that were missing parts or were NASTY! lol We also went through and separated a bunch of 0-12month toys for Gabriel. He wont need any toys either lol

couldn't find it because of the monstrosity of the
closet! So Mama to the rescue! LOL Yeah right I
got stuck and had to give up! Too many toys!

Oh yeah before I forget! I was sitting in the toy closet and as you all know I am super claustrophobic, and I somehow didn't realize I blocked myself in, and then I tried to get up off the floor (Not an easy feat being 7 months pregnant!) and grabbed on to another toy and had an avalanche of toys come tumbling down on me! I was being attacked by the toys!!! I have never been so scared in my life!! My entire life flashed before my very eyes! (It was very boring by the way! haha) David had to come and rescue me lol Stupid toys! lol

Nothing New

Today is my last day of my summer vacation! Tomorrow it's back to fighting Alex in the morning to get him to my Mom's house. haha He has been waking up at around 9-9:30am! And he plays in his room until like 10am. He reads himself books, and plays with his cars or stuffed animals. He goes to the bathroom in the morning on his own without me having to remind him. So MAYBE he will be ok that early! I have been slacking, and not putting him to bed right at 8:30p every night. But for the most part he has been in bed and asleep by 9pm. So tonight we'll be back on our routine. He told me the other day "Mama, just stay home and play with me all day!" I wish I could. But we cant! Well in around 6-7 weeks I'll on maternity leave so I'll be home full time again. Which will be nice. Well at least for 8 weeks! haha Then work for 2-3 weeks and go on Christmas Break. Not too shabby!

So David wants me to help him clean and organize the garage! Hmm not the funnest way to spend my last day off lol but I guess it's just something we need to get done. The house and laundry are all clean, because I did that yesterday. I kinda like being home and able to keep our house clean! And be caught up on laundry! It's hard when you work full time, and rush home to make dinner. Laundry and vacuuming are the LAST things I want to do lol But I decided I need to be better at doing that! I CAN do laundry during the week, so that I don't have 10 loads to do on Saturdays! So we'll see how long I keep that up! haha

Well I had nothing really to write about, but decided to post something anyways...

Oh yeah, we have about 9 weeks before Baby Gabe is born! Yikes! So much left to do and so little time!!!

Blogger hates me! I've been trying to change my background and it wont show up! It shows up for like 3 seconds then dissapears! Its weird!!

Anyway, I go back to work next Monday! We have meetings, and then set up our classrooms! I'm excited to get back, but then again not really! LOL I might not teach summer school next year! We'll see! It just makes summer go by so fast! )o: Oh well!!

Anyway our internet is still having issues! I'm thinking of switching companies! We'll give it a few more days!!
