*10 years ago:

Oh my gosh! 10 years ago, I was a senior in high school, getting ready to graduate! I was in soccer, softball, yearbook, working part time at a restaurant named Gus Jr's. I was a waitress there. I was also an Elementary School tutor! Phew I was nuts to do all that, but it was all fun at the time. I also was filling out college applications! I was also about to get my first broken heart )o: And I was also about to start working at the movie theater!

*5 Things on my list to do today:

1 - Well the day is almost over. So go home, and celebrate Dustin's birthday. We're taking him out tonight.

2 - Go to the bank, and deposit my bonus check! WOOHOO!

3 - Go shopping for a birthday present for Sara. (SLACKER I KNOW!!!!!!!! I still have Dean's birthday present on my living room couch! UGH! Worse Aunt EVER!)

4 - Finish my lesson plans.

5 - Buy a small vacuum cleaner for my upstairs.

I actually had a lot to do today, but already did that LOL I went to work, took my class on a FUN FUN field trip! LOL I was so DREADING going, but glad we did it!

*Things I would do if I was suddenly a billionaire:
  • Be really EXCITED!!!!!
  • Call everyone I know!
  • Apparently Owe a lot of money in taxes :(
  • Pay off all of our debt.
  • Pay off parents and parent-in-laws homes
  • Deposit a ridiculous amount of money into Alex's bank account.
  • Figure out a smart way to invest the money
  • Take friends and family on a cruise
  • Buy homes all over the place
  • TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL
  • Secure our financial future

*3 Bad Habits:

1 - I crack my wrists WAY too much )o:

2 - Have a hard time asking for help

3 - Procrastinator! Ugh I HATE HATE HATE this horrible habit!!!!!!!

*Places I have lived:

  • Managua, Nicaragua-- Born there. Lived there for all of 6 months. I don't remember this at all obviously LOL
  • Orange County, California-- Lived there from 6 months- 3 years old. I don't know if I actually remember living there, or if what my parents told me have become memories? LOL
  • Santa Ana, California-- from 3 years old until 6 years old. I remember Kindergarten lol
  • Corona, California-- From 6 years old until 22 years old. This is where I met ALL of my best friends, and David!
  • Riverside, California-- from 22 years old until 26 years old. First time I ever moved out of my parents house! So that was an experience. My friends and I moved into my in-laws house (they had moved out by this point, that would have been way weird to live with my friends WITH my in-laws lol) Got engaged, and Married David living in this house. Bought our first house too! Had Alex while we lived in this house.
  • Tolleson, Arizona-- For about 6 1/2 months. Lived with my parents for
  • Phoenix, Arizona-- For about 10 months
  • Tolleson, Arizona-- Since September 2007 (o:

*Jobs I have had:

  • Baby Sitter (I was around 13 years old) - I used to babysit this cute little boy named Nathan from the time he was like 4 months until he was 2 years old.
  • Corona/Norco Unified School District Peer Tutor (I was in high school, so from 15 years old- 17 1/2) - I worked at three different elementary schools, Stallings Elementary, Adams Elementary, and Parkview Elementary school. I would tutor 5th and 6th grade kids in math, and reading. Or pretty much helped them with their homework. I LOVED doing this.
  • Gus Jurs (I was a Senior in High School, so 17-17 1/2)- I HATED this job lol But I wanted money lol And I got tips, so I ALWAYS had cash on me at the time (o: I would work Mon, Wed, Friday nights from 5pm-9pm, and Saturdays from 8am-12pm.
  • Jazzercise Day Care (18 years old) - I got free jazzercise lol and got paid about $2.00 a kid every Tuesday and Thursday. I didnt get paid a lot, like $20-$30 a day lol, but I got free jazzersize which was around $30 something a month, so that made up for it lol
  • Edwards Cinema Concessionist (18-19 years old)- I didn't even want a job lol I went job hunting with my friend Yvette because her mom was MAKING her get a job, so we went and applied at millions of places, and the Movie theater was the first to call. We got interviewed during a group interview. (I met my best friend Kim there!) Well turns out *I* got hired, and my friend who needed the job didn't get hired! )o: But another friend from High School Vanessa was hired at the same time. So that was cool. On my first day of work, I kept debating if I should go or not lol I didn't NEED a job, but the money would be nice. So I ended up going. It was a fun job being a consessionist! I met A LOT of my friends working there. I even met Sam working there! (o:
  • Edwards Cinema Box Office Cashier (19-19 1/2) - I was promoted a year later to go into the box. Kim was "promoted" like 2 weeks or so before me lol Anyway once we were in "box" it was nice to get to know other employees, but I missed messing around in concession too LOL
  • Edwards Cinema Assistant Manager (19 1/2-21 years old) - I was promoted to Assistant manager, and LOVED it. I loved being able to wear dressy clothes, and not have to wear a bow tie anymore! LOL Kinda hard because my friends were still "regular employees". I also got a raise! WOOHOO!
  • Edwards Cinema House Manager (21years- 24 years) - The current house manager was unable to keep his job due to personal reasons, so I was dong all of his job without getting extra pay for it. Once day the General Manager, and District Manager approached me about going on Salary and taking over his job permanently! I was so excited! I also met David while I was the House Manager. (House Manager means you are right underneath the General Manager, and are in charge of the building, employees while the GM is gone. Or while you have a crappy GM who doesn't do anything lol
  • Regal Theaters Signature Plaza 16 (24years-25years) -I transferred theaters and became the House Manager for a BRAND new theater. I was there to help with the opening process. David and I had just gotten married, and I was working like over 70 hours a week! We didn't get to see each other very much. I had a crappy GM, who never took responsibility for anything he did wrong. Long story, I was blamed for another assistant manager stealing over $400, since the GM was on vacation. Even though this happened on my day off. Supposedly since I was in charge of the building, it was MY fault? Anyway he decided to tell me AFTER he got his Thanksgiving Vacation. Why ruin his plans for the holidays? Forget that I was 6 months pregnant at the time. VERY stressful time afterwards. Well turns out that a concession assistant manager was stealing money, and came out to be over a few thousand dollars! AND about a year later that GM was fired for stealing money from the safe, and firing assistant managers after the blamed them. After this all was discovered I was called by the District Manager, and asked if I would go back and be the GM of that theater. I HATED working there, the long hours wouldn't work with a new baby. And we just had decided to move to AZ. So David said forget it! Way to much stress working there. (Phew that was longer that I thought lol)
  • Wells Fargo Bank Personal Banker (26-27 1/2) My friend Brenda told me that Wells Fargo was hiring. So I applied, and got hired within a week. It was an OK job. I met a lot of new friends, and it was a good experience. Just NOT for me.
  • Pan American Elementary School Teacher (28 years-present)- I LOVE this job. Its so different from any other job I've ever had. It has the BEST schedule with kids. Work from 7:30a-3:30p Mon-Friday. Work with some good kids. I don't know why I never pursued this before? Anyway I love my current job! And 9 more weeks before summer vacation! WOOHOO LOL
Also Full time Wife to David and Mommy to Alex. Dog walker, Cook, Cleaner, Laundry Washer, Clothes put-er-away-er, Grocery Shopper, Bill Payer, the list goes on and on lol

*Things most people don't know about me:

  1. That I'm secretly really shy about meeting new people.
  2. Often wonder what people think about me.
  3. Love to cook

I knew this was going to be super long!!!!!

I don't TAG anyone... (o:

Dito, I always love reading these survey type things - even if I've read a bunch by the same person before... it seems like you always learn some new stuff

This was SO fun to read . . . one of MY 'dreams' is to be able to afford to treat my family to a cruise . . . I think that would be SO fun to do together!! Especially one that catered to kids and had alot for the little ones to do . . . I would SO love to do that!

It was fun to get to know you a little better, Tania . . . just think how DIFFERENT your life might have been if you hadn't tagged along with your friend's job search and filled out an app for the theater OR showed up your first day of work . . .

WE are all certainly VERY glad you DID!!!!! =o)
