Free Burritos

So Chipolte was giving away free burritos to anyone wearing Cardinal Gear today! So my parents decided we should go! What else did we have to do on a Saturday afternoon? So we put on our jerseys and T-Shirts and headed off to Chipotle. Yeah we didn't even turn the corner to get into the parking lot when we saw the end of the line was to the end of the rows of business! So my dad told me and my Mom to jump out and start our line LOL So off we went, and 2ish hours later we had our free food! haha Lucky for Alex and I we had a late breakfast, so we weren't STARVING like everyone else seemed to be! Anyway I know it's lame to stand in line for hours for free food, but hey it was fun talking to other fans and meeting new people. I guess at a restaurant nearby they had the employees wear their favorite team jerseys, and when a girl left at the end of her shift she was wearing a "Stealers" jersey and everyone was booing her lol it was mean, but funny!

Lets Play the Smelling Game!!

Alex's new favorite game is "The Smelling Game" He'll snig the air and say "I smell something!" and you are supposed to say "What do you smell?" and he'll point something out. Like the other day he said "I smell something!" and I asked him what he smelled and he said "I smell squid in daddy's car!" ACK! LOL Where the heck did that come from??!? LOL Has he ever smelled a squid?! LOL Anyway so now his thing is everything smells like squid LOL

This morning he said "Eww Mama it smells like squid outside!" LOL Just cracked me up! Weirdo child!

I've never been interested in the Harry Potter shenanigans lol But I've JUST started reading the first volume in the series and it's good! haha

Dinosaurs Yikes!

Alex is SO funny! He seriously has the best sense of humor ever! The other day we were sitting down for lunch, and David always does "Un squshable spider" hands with Alex where he'll make his hand walk around the table until Alex squishes it lol So Alex does his little walking hands with his two fingers and chases the spider lol (Yes they do this at every meal everyday LOL The spider usually wants to eat Alex's food so that Alex will eat it instead of the spider! lol Hey whatever works lol) Anyway on Monday David decided to make his spider into a Dinosaur, and said "The dinosaur is going to get you! ROAR!" and Alex got his little fingers and made them run and said "Oh yikesss!!!!!!!" and ran away! LOL it was sooooo hilarious and unexpected! We about died laughing! LOL he is so funny!!!

Alex- "Mama, what do you wish for?"
I said -"Hmmmmmm....I wish for"...
Alex- "Mama you wish for Alex to be happy!"
Me- " I do wish for Alex to be happy! What does Alex wish for?"

He decided since Papa's name is Mario Lopez, and Nana's nameis Ligia Lopez, and Auntie is Jenniffer Lopez, HE should be a Lopez too! LOL

Ghost

Once upon a time, there was a wild and crazy 2 1/2 year old boy named Alex. He liked to run around and play all day long, until bed time came around. He then decided he was terrified ofhis room because there are ghosts in there!

So the other night David and I were getting Alex ready for bed. Alex was TIRED! But insisted there are ghosts in his room! He was seriously TERRIFIED! He wasn't throwing his normal "I'm not tired, I want to play" bed time tantrum. His little heart was racing, and his face really looked scared. It was so super sad! He STILL refuses to sleep in his room )o: Even more since Daddy is in CA and can't protect him.... So sad!

Stupid Backyardigans! I hate them!!!(They have an episode about Ghosts, sure they are friendly, byt still are ghosts!)

Oh and that picture was for Sam, Alex was going to the bathroom, and he was drawing on a dry erase board, and he decided it would be more fun to draw on his arms and legs! LOL Sorry it's a crappy quality picture, I took the picture off my camera with my cell phone... if that makes any sense LOL

Inauguration Day

I'm letting my kids watch President Obama's inauguration today! What an amazing exciting day it is for our Country. Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King's Day yesterday and now watching the first African American become president! Wow our country has come so far! (o: What a historic day today will be!!

(Oh yeah another Historical Event haha The Cardinal's are going to the SUPERBOWL!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!)

Conversation with Alex

On the way home from my Mom's house today Alex said

Alex: "Mama, I like playing with Nana all day! She's so fun!"

Me: "Oh cool! What did you do? I bet Nana LOVES playing with you too!"

Alex: "We play and go shopping!"

Me: "Ohhh shopping is so fun!"

Alex: "Mama we should go visit Gramma! She's so fun too!"

Me: "We should go visit Gramma, she'd like that!"

Alex: "Lets go right now!"

Me: "I wish we could go right now, but Gramma and Grampa live really far away"

Alex: "Mama, why does Gramma and Grampa live so far away! It's not fair anymore!"

Me: "No its not fair, we should visit more. Would you like that?"

Alex: "Mama, lets give Gramma a call! I miss her soooo much!"

Tuesday

I'm trying for the life of me to get Alex to fall asleep on his own! I should have done this when he was a baby, but I coudlnt let him cry himself to sleep! )o: I'm such a wuss haha So now I have this almost 3 year old that cant fall asleep on his own. He has decided that his room is "sppoky" and he has a hard time staying in bed all night without crying. I feel bad and am tired, so either he comes into our room, or i lay down with him in his room for a little while. I know that's lame. But i just cant let him cry himself to sleep! I just cant! so if anyone has any suggestions that dont involve letting him cry himself to sleep please feel free to let me know! He doesnt nap all day so I know he is tired! oh well crazy kid haha

Monday

My internet at home was down yesterday, so I couldn't blog! Tragic I know! haha Anyway I went back to work on Monday after 2 weeks off! It wasn't too bad. Except for it being 32 degrees when I left! That was COLD!!!!! Brrrr The kids were nice and calm. I guess they needed the 2 week break (o:

We didn't do much yesterday except work, and make dinner. David decided he NEEDS to have roller-blades! Yikes! I am not that graceful on flat land now put wheels under my shoes! yikes! that would not be pretty! haha so since Alex got skates for Christmas I can help Alex learn to skate while David roller-blades.

It's been raining here since Sunday, so we probably wont be going to the snow this weekend. Maybe next weekend.... Oh well! We can go get our updated family picture taken this weekend instead! (o: We haven't had one done since Alex was about to turn 2! Slackers I know! (We take pictures as a family ALL the time, I mean professional studio pictures haha) I'm excited! (o:

Oh and PS. David sucks! He read an entire book in one night! Why can't I do that?! Oh yeah because I like sleeping too much to stay up until 2am reading! haha Weirdo!

Sunday

So, it was pouring when we woke up this morning! So I didn't think anyone would want to go to zoo anymore. So I just went back to sleep since David and Alex were still sleeping. At around 10:30 David and Alex finally woke up! Lazies! I told David it was sprinkling and probably wouldn't be a good idea to go to the zoo. He said it would be fun, and we should take umbrellas! So we invited Jenniffer, and she came with us! It didn't rain really hard, just sprinkled off and on, but we had a lot of fun! The zoo is so hard to enjoy in the 114 heat! Then we went to Fuddruckers (I have no clue if I spelled that right) anyway last time we went there I got a salad, and didn't like it, so I decided that I didn't appreciate that place! haha this time Jenniffer and David made me get a hamburger and it was soo good! Its was HUGE I only was able to eat half, but still feel overly stuffed! Anyway it was a fun day! I took pictures, but still need to upload them to my computer, and for some reason my cumputer doesnt like my camera and wont upload them, so I need my laptop! And I am WAY too lazy and my knee hurts so I'm not going downwstairs to get it! So I'll post pictures tomorrow!! (o:

Nine Year Anniversary

Today is David and My 9 year "dating" anniversary! We became an official couple 9 years ago!! Still happy and in love!! (o:

Saturday

We took Achilles to the vet today! He weighs 61.5 lbs!!! What a big doggie!!!

We are also planning on taking a trip to Flagstaff next weekend and staying there over night to play in the snow again! It was fun last year, and Alex has been watching shows that the characters are playing in the show, so he keeps saying "Lets go to the snow today!" So my parents, Alex, David and I are thinking of taking a trip there.

hmm what else. Today was such a "lazy" stay at home day. We did loads of laundry! And I figured out that my washer and dryers have a "Speed Wash" and "Speed Dry" setting so I was able to do like 7 loads in 3 hours! How awesome is that?!? Maybe I'll learn to like doing laundry this year? (Probably not!) Then we watched tons of movies, and then went to dinner with friends.

If it doesn't rain we're thinking of going to the zoo. We'll see! Oh and we need to take our Holiday decorations off before the HOA starts sending us letters! (o:

Happy New Years!

I can't believe it's 2009 already!! Hope everyone had a Happy New Years! We had a nice quiet New Years Eve. David, Alex and I went to my parents house and enjoyed a delicious BBQ of Carne Asada and Pork Chops (o: (MY dad seriously is the best BBQ-er EVER! Those of you who have been lucky to try it will probably agree!) Then my parents had some friends over, and David and I were able to hang out and watch hours of CSI since Alex went to sleep early! Then we rang in the new year and toated the new year wishing everyone a year full of Happiness, Love, and Money! haha I toasted for everyone to have another gainfully employeed year, David toasted for love and happiness of family and friends. Alex toasted "For more grapes!" haha My son cracks me up!

Anyway we wish everyone a lot of love, happiness, and money too! Also for a lot of traveling to see family and friends! We love you All!!! Happy New Year everyone!
