Passport Office Employees Suck!
So, for those of you who know. A few years ago like RIGHT before David and I got married, we had our marriage license, his birth certificate, my Citizenship Certificate and other important information in a file folder so that everything will be easy to grab and all be put in one place. Anyway I'm not sure HOW it happened, but I must have thrown it away, with that junk mail that was piled on top of it. Anyway now David has HUGE Identity theft and it's been a pain trying to get that taken care of. (THATS another story on why I hate Bank of America). So David's birth certificate, and our marriage license were replaced. I had to re order my certificate (Since I was born in Nicaragua, and came to the U.S when I was like 6 or 9 months old, I could never remember). That certificate would take about a year to arrive and cost over $200 to replace! Well by the time it was due to come, we had moved from California to Arizona, so they mailed it out and it went to California AFTER I gave them my new address! Ugh! So I called a few months ago to figure out where it went, and they said it was never returned to them, and I have to order a new one! UGH! At least I dont have to pay for it again! The cost went up to over $300! Yikes! Anyway AZ state law is requiring all employees to have proof of citizenship as on January 1, 2008. So I called the INS and they told me that if I had my dad come with me and be my identifying witness to my U.S Citizenship I could get my passport. So we both took Wednesday off and made the long long drive to Los Angeles (since that is the closest passport office to us. They have like a million passport acceptance offices all over the place, but with my special circumstance I had to go to an actual office!) Anyway we get there and they tell me that the 4 different people I talked to on 4 different days had given us wrong information! So we pretty much drove all the was to Los Angeles, and back to Tolleson in one day! That was over 750 miles!!!!!! So now I have to go to the INS office, and get a letter that says I am a legal citizen and that is all I need! UGH! The INS office is like 30 minutes from my house! I could use that letter for my employment, and my dad and I could have saved our days off for something fun like gettin a root canal or something! Dumb passport lady kept contradicting herself too! She said "We dont have access to the INS files, to look up citizenship information." then like a few minutes later she said "If this is a life or death situation we could look up your information on the INS database!" UGH!!!! Why do people make everything harder than it should be? People suck! )o:

Well...
Well I haven't updated in a while. Alex has been sick. I took him to the doctors today because he hasn't been wanting to eat since like Thursday! He has a throat infection, and an ear infection! Poor baby! He has been WAY whiny and sad. He is doing better today, actually ate some.. Hopefully he is feeling 100% by Friday when we go to California!!
On Friday it's our work Christmas Party / Christmas Concert. Our party is going to be at the Olive Garden! Yum!! We have half day of school that day so we are going there at 1pm. We have a gift exchange too. I don't know the teachers very well. So that was kinda hard shopping for my Secret Santa. Oh well... Then after the party we have our Christmas Concert! I'm so excited! I've been working with my class on Singing "The First Noel" and "A Wonderful Winter Day!" The music teacher taught me how to play them both on the keyboard so I'll play along with the kids on Friday! It will be so fun!
After the Concert which ends at 7pm, we're going to drive to California for our fun weekend of Family, Presents and fun! (o: I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!
My friend Brenda goes back to work on Friday, so my mom will be watching her three kids, Iliana, 9; Sierra, 4 and Adrian 6 weeks! I cant wait! I love love new babies! So I'll get over my "We should have another baby kick" lol Anyway I'm just trying to fill up room here since rumor has it I should update my blog!

Stairs+Buddled up sleeping toddlers=falling
So I had a rough morning lol (Sheesh it's only 8:27am!) I was rushing trying to get out the door this morning. I had to get my stuff, and Alex's stuff into the car, I wasn't wearing a sweatshirt or anything when I ran out, and man it was like a slap in the face cold!!!!! (I know, I know we don't know "Cold" Sam lol) But dang it was FREEZING! So I decided to just run to the car to throw our stuff in, and I tripped on the stupid little snowmen lights that *I* insisted looked GREAT right outside the front door! LOL Anyway I caught my balance and threw our stuff in the car. I rushed back inside and did a fast warm up jiggy lol Then I remembered that it was trash day!!!!!! Ugh! Back outside I open the garage door, and look inside the trash can and we only have a bag of empty dog food in it?? Where the heck is all of our trash? LOL Oh well I'm freezing because I didn't get a sweatshirt again! So back inside I go. Its about 6:37am and I still need to get Alex in warm jammies and his beanie. So I go to his room grab warm clothes for him, and proceed my normal morning fighting routine with my 1 year old son. On top of that he has a cold, so I have to give him his medicine too! Poor kid was MAD! So I finally get him ready its now 6:52am, I'm running REALLY late! I keep thinking of the stupid empty trash can that is made me run late! So as I'm thinking I better hurry, no more distractions.... them BAM! No time to put my hands down to catch my fall or anything! I fell down the stairs, bundled up toddler and all! I like fell in slow motion where I didn't even bend my legs or anything I just fell straight back, hitting my back, (which has been hurting for a few days anyways) my shoulders, and the back of my head! I didn't even have time to worry about myself! I had now a bundled up hysterical toddler! He was luckily ok since I fell straight back he didn't get hurt at all. And to top it off.... I forgot my breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and when I turned out on the car radio they said it was 39 degrees this morning!

Chatter Box
So Alex decided that everything could be answered with "Oh No!". By everything, I mean everything...
"Alex look at the doggie"... "Oh No!"
"Alex come here!"... "Oh No!"
"Alex what does the doggie say?"..."Oh No"
LOL Its cute for the most part, but then when I really want an answer and he says "Oh no" it gets old lol
He is also talking A LOT more lately. It surprises me with what he says sometimes...
He was jumping on the couch and I asked him "Are you supposed to be jumping on the couch?" and he said "Maybe" LOL
David let Achilles (or dog) in the house the other day while Alex was in the bathtub, and Alex saw him and said "Bad doggie! Out!!!" LOL
He decided that Achilles needed a snack and he said "Mama doggie snack"
He wanted juice the other day... "Mama Juice please.... NOW!" LOL (At least he tried to be polite at first lol)
And he says a lot of words / sentences in spanish too... He cracks me up because like his father, he talks in his sleep ALL the time!!
He is starting to tell on people too. Like if David wont let him jump on the couch or have candy he comes and tells me lol He is so funny lately just cracks me up!!! (o: He's at the fun age where he's starting to talk and share his ideas verbally.
I'm trying to get a video of him saying "Oh No!" because he looks so worried and really concerned while saying it LOL Crack me up my crazy little Chatterbox!

WHAT TEACHERS MAKE
My sister-in-law posted this a while ago. Just thought it was neat! (o:
WHAT TEACHERS MAKE
The dinner guests were sitting around the table discussing life.
One man, a CEO, decided to explain the problem with education.
He argued, "What's a kid going to learn from someone who decided his best
option in life was to become a teacher?"
He reminded the other dinner guests what they say about teachers:
"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."
To stress his point he said to another guest; "You're a teacher, Bonnie.
Be honest. What do you make?"
Bonnie, who had a reputation for honesty and frankness replied,
"You want to know what I make? (She paused for a second, then began...)
"Well, I make kids work harder than they ever thought they could.
I make a C+ feel like the Congressional Medal of Honor.
I make kids sit through 40 minutes of class time when their parents can't
make them sit for 5 without an I Pod, Game Cube or movie rental...
You want to know what I make?" (She paused again and looked at each and
every person at the table.)
I make kids wonder.
I make them question.
I make them criticize.
I make them apologize and mean it.
I make them have respect and take responsibility for their actions.
I teach them to write and then I make them write.
I make them read, read, read.
I make them show all their work in math.
I make my students from other countries learn everything they need
to know in English while preserving their unique cultural identity.
I make my classroom a place where all my students feel safe.
I make my students stand to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag,
because we live in the United States of America.
Finally, I make them understand that if they use the gifts they were given,
work hard, and follow their hearts, they can succeed in life.
(Bonnie paused one last time and then continued.)
"Then, when people try to judge me by what I make, I can hold my head up
high and pay no attention because they are ignorant...
You want to know what I make?
I MAKE A DIFFERENCE. What do you make?"
THIS IS WORTH SENDING TO EVERY TEACHER YOU KNOW.
(And everyone on your mailing list, for that matter).
THERE IS MUCH TRUTH IN THIS STATEMENT:
"Teachers make every other profession "

Such a Big Boy!
Is it possible for little kids to get used to a routine so fast? I decided that Alex needs to go to sleep at a reasonable hour for a 1 ½ year old child. I was letting him stay up until *I* went to bed. But in the mornings he was just a pain! He would fight and cry the entire time. So he is now going to sleep at 8pm! That might still be a little late for him, but going from 10-11pm to 8 seemed like a good choice! Anyway at around 7:30pm tonight he was being whiny like he was ready for bed. I didn't want him to go to sleep at 7:30 so he played with his daddy for a half hour. At 8 we went upstairs sat in his rocking chair and in about 5 minutes he was out! And he is TOTALLY sleeping in his own room! Those of you who know, he HAD to sleep in a playpen in our room. So this is TOTALLY a huge deal for us! (o: This will be the 3rd night in a row that he will be sleeping in his room! I'm very excited!! Now if I could get him off the 3,798,238,230 bottles of milk a night we'd be set! (o: One step at a time I guess! Anyways here are some pictures of my Big Boy in his own room, in his big kid bed!!

Christmas!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas! David always gets way into decorating the outside of the house with lights. Since we were renting a house last year we didnt do lights. But since we have our new house we went and got a bunch. He is in chare of the outside, and I'm in charge of the inside. I need to take more pictures of the inside of the house. Alex is so excited about the lights! Whenever we go outside he is like "Oh wow!" and "Whats that?" to the deer on the lawn! Just dont tell him that the deer is the daddy deer! I told him that one was a daddy deer and he looked at it, and looked for David, and just stood there looking really sad, and then started to cry. He wanted HIS daddy! Not some deer! LOL Well here are some pictures!

Thanksgiving 2007
We had Thanksgiving at our new house this year! I was a little worried because I was in charge of making the Turkey this year. It wasn't at bad as I thought. The yukiest part was taking the bag of guts and neck whatever is in the bad out. And my Turkey came out really good! I was worried that the outside would look good, and once we were cutting it, it would be frozen or something and everyone would get sick. But nope, it was good and perfect if I do say so myself LOL We had my parents and brother Mario and his girlfriend Becky come over. It was nice having them over. Alex took a nap while we were eating dinner, so everyone was able to eat "Peacefully" without having grubby little toddler hands all over their food, or someone throwing food on the floor then saying "Uh oh!" lol We missed our family and friends in California and Iowa, my sis Jenniffer (She had to work) and sister Cristina and nephew Austin in FL. But we are still thankful for them all. Well here are some pictures.
Tagged
Well since Jenn needs something to read and she told me that I had to update my blog I'll be posting some new stuff after school. And since the kids (I'm at work) are doing group work, I could do this real quick. My sister in law Sam, "TAGGED" me kinda lol So I'm supposed to write 6 unusual things about myself. So here goes...
1. I'm the worst liar ever. (Which is not a bad thing) I always thought that I could lie and get away with it lol I tend to stutter or look around and say "Um" a lot. Or I OVER exaggerate, like "That plate broke because there was a HUGE earthquake and a stampede of elephants came in the room and ....blah blah blah" LOL So I just stay away from lying since I suck at it anyways LOL
2. I can wiggle my baby toe on my right foot without moving any other toe. Now thats some amazing talent! LOL I don't know how I discovered this talent, but it grosses Kim out and I like to torture her by spontaneously saying "Hey Kim, check this out!" LOL and she will ALWAYS fall for it lol
3. I love to shop. But not for stuff for me! Whenever David and I go to the store, I fill up the cart with stuff I HAVE to have, and by the time we get to the register all the stuff I had to have are gone. Sorry to all the employees at the stores I shop at since they have like major "Go Backs" to put away after I leave LOL I could always find a million things I have to get for Alex or David. David always says "Why do you even bother getting stuff when you wont buy it?" I think I'm rubbing off on David lol He is doing it too lol
4. I have a BAD temper. I could take a lot from people before it makes me mad. But watch out when you do! I have zero tolerance for going anywhere where people are bothered by you asking them to do their job. And if they give me bad customer service, I WILL say something. Going to restaurants is the worse since some waiters / waitresses hate their jobs and wont get you refills and when you ask for one they have an attitude problem. So they will hear about it too lol (This doesn't happen as often as bad service does lol)
5. I crack my writs ALL the time. I dont even notice I do it anymore. I guess years of sports takes it toll on your hands eventually. But if you ever just watch me I'll crack my wrists. Its random but I'll do it like seriously 100 times or so a day!
6. I pretend to write on anything all the time LOL If someone says a word I want to remember I'll "write" it down with my finger, and the word sticks to my mind LOL I think I remember WHERE I wrote the word down and thats how I remember the word. LOL Does that make sense?? LOL
Ok so now you know what a big weirdo I am LOL I hope you still love me (o: This was easier than I thought LOL And I could probably think of other weird things I do all the time too LOL

Family
Since we've moved to Arizona, we feel a little bit left out of all the family functions. We do stuff with my family here in AZ, but in California there are just so many more family members. So it makes anything we do so much fun. Even if it's just hanging out talking with the crazy Hendrickons haha (o: I'm so happy to be a part of 2 wonderful loving families.
This past weekend, David's brother Travis, his wife Jenn, and son baby Mark to visit us. When we lived in CA, Jenn and Travis were the family we spent the most time with. It's funny because when I met Travis he never talked to me, and pretty much ignored me. Bugged the crap out of me. Then I met Jenn, and the same thing! I kept thinking it was me! Jenn and I lived together with a few of my friends for a few months. The entire time we lived together we said no more than like 10 words! After Jenn moved out, we started talking more, and found out that it wasn't that we didn't like each other, it was more that we were so tired from working full time, and going to school full time. So we never really saw each other. So anyway we became really good friends after that. She was in my wedding, and we hung out and did couple things all the time. After I got pregnant with Alex, I felt like we drifted apart again. Which sucked, but that was ok. We still talked every once in a while. Then David and I moved to AZ, and we really didn't start talking as much until after Mark was born! Anyway I'm glad she's back in my life again! (Not that she fell off the face of the earth or anything, and this TOTALLY went off track and the origional post! LOL)
Anyway, as I was saying, they came to visit us this past weekend! I loved having them come and see our new house, and spend time with them again! (o: We went to the Arizona Science Museum, and the Phoenix Zoo. We were thinking of stuff to do, and should have gone to the Hard Rock Cafe! That would have been fun! Alex and Mark didn't get along at first. Alex is in his "Thats MINE!" stage, and didn't want to share his toys with Mark. Then after spending the day together, they became buddies. And were so cute playing wit cars, and balls and chasing each other all over the house. Anyway here are some pictures of our weekend! (o:

California Trip...
Just because I started this blog after we got back from our California trip, doesn't mean I cant post pictures like 3 weeks later right? (o:
I was so proud of Alex this last trip to California. He usually just wants to be with either me, or David. But mainly me. So I was a little nervous about going to CA without David. But everything turned out better than I had hoped! Alex was so good with everyone! He played with his Uncle Matt, and Uncle Dustin (A.K.A Santa lol), and Gramma and Grampa! He even had a good time with his cousins Mark, Kailin, and Konner.
Anyway here are some pictures from our trip!
(Opps I guess when my laptop got that virus, it ate my pictures LOL Well except for this cute one of Alex, Grampa and the Kitty lol)

Come on Mom!
Alex has been talking for a while now. He could point at things and tell you what they are, or he'll ask "What's that?" or "Who is that?" if he doesnt know who or what something (or someone). He's starting to put small sentences together now too! We went to Wal*Mart with my mom (Alex's Nana) yesterday. And he saw some balloons. And he decided that he DESERVED one. I told him that we would have to ask the photo center people if he would have one. So we walked up there, I told him, "Go ask her" and he said to her like a big kid "Balloon please!" and started doing his little grabby fingers at the balloons LOL The lady thought it was hilarious that this little boy was politely demanding a balloon from her! So she was nice and gave him three balloons! And so we started our shopping trip. He can't just walk nicely anymore. He either runs, or runs and jumps! And he's gotten brave where he will actually run pretty fast and jump with both feet off the ground! (He used to just kinda pick up one foot, while the other is still on the floor lol). He's making shopping trips so much longer than they need to be, but he HAS to push the shopping cart, sure he cant see over the top, and crashes into things and people. But that doesnt stop him from trying to help. He also keeps putting random stuff in the cart. Yesterday I found, pencils, dolls, cars, paint rollers, a candle, nail polish and ONE sock lol My mom said he was doing his Christmas shopping! LOL Crazy kid. But I cant just take everything out of the cart. I have to wait until he is no longer looking, or he'll be deeply offended that his purchases weren't worthy of being bought LOL Anyway he also kept pointing people out and asking me "Mama who is that?" and I would tell him "I dont know, some little girl?" and he would look at me and say "What's name?" and I told him "I don't know her. So I dont know her name" and he looked very annoyed and looked me straight in the face and said "Come on Mom!!" LOL I was cracking up! I was like "What the heck! Did this kid just get mad at me for not knowing that kids name?" lol And that wasn't even the end of that he went up to he and kicked her! And said "Did you see that Nana?" LOL
Random
My computer is not back to 100% )o: As of right now, only my internet is working lol I mean if I minimize my screen I get a blank screen. So I cant use my MSN Messnger! How tragic is that?!? During Math time is my "Chat with Sam" time! How dare it not let me load it us! LOL Oh well! So David is going to fix it for me when I get home.
On another note. Today is mine and David's 3rd year (wedding) anniversary! We have been together for 7 years! I love him so much! (o: He's so funny! He doesnt do the traditional gifts. I mean like he wont get me anything for Valentines Day, or Anniversaries. He will do it on a random day. He once told me "Why do I have to give you something to show you I love you when everyone else is doing it? I love you all the time" So he'll get me something whenever he's ready. My vice principal asked me today "Where are your roses?" and I told him "My husband isnt a 'Send roses on anniversaries' type of guy. He'll get me something some random day for Happy Monday, or Happy Saturday!" I love that he does that! Makes it more spontaneous! (o:
I think we're going to try and go to dinner tonight. Nothing too fancy. But that will be nice anyways! (o:

Mama's Boy!
Alex is such a mama's boy! My brother, Mario was in the ER today, with some weird stomach bug thing. So my mom, sister Jenniffer, and I went to the hospital to sit and wait with him and his girlfriend Becky. Apparenlt they had been there since 1am! We didnt know until after 7pm! So we were there for 3 hours! Since that was going to hit Alexs bed time, he stayed home with David. He apparently did really good, fell asleep before 8pm, and everything was going good for David, and his sleeping baby. Until 9:30 came along, and Alex woke up wanting his mommy, who was nowhere to be found! Uh oh! So he started to cry and was a very sad little boy! So David called me and I talked to Alex, and he stopped crying, and decided that he would be good and calm down for his daddy, who was trying really hard to comfort this sad boy! Mario was able to go home at 10:30pm, and was feeling a lot better! (Phew!) and so I went home. When I got home everything was quiet, except for a little sad voice saying "Mama? Mama?" and a reasurring voice from his dad "Yeah, mama is home!" and then LOUD Crying! "MAMA! MAMA! MAMA!" lol My poor little mama's boy!
Never too late for Halloween Cookies!
So David and Alex decided that since we (Alex and I) were in California on Halloween (Or as David put it "Since you ditched me on Halloween") they were going to decorate their Halloween Cookies. Hey its never too late for tasty cookies right? So they had fun decorating their cookies. Ok well David had fun creating his cookies, and Alex had fun eating the frosting and gum drops lol Then it was time to eat the cookies.... um maybe it was too late for Halloween cookies LOL They were stale! Ok so *I* didn't taste them, but David said they were stale and not very good! LOL Oh well thats what happens when you slack and decorate cookies 2 weeks after Halloween! haha Oh well, we got some cute pictures anyways!!
Zoo, and New babies!
Yesterday we decided to take Alex to the Phoenix Zoo. The LOVED... the fish tank they had at the ticket window lol Crazy kid! I guess thats what he recognized first since we have the Bobs. Oh well! He had fun running around, and pointing out the stuff he recognized like the trees, the grass, the trash cans the water fountains LOL Then we decided that we should stop for a snack. Alex feed the duckies some of his cinnamon apple snacks lol I wonder if thats bad for ducks? Oh well! I didn't even think of taking pictures of him doing that! I guess I was just too into watching him and David feed them that I didn't think of it! )o: Oh well, we got a Zoo membership so we could go again, andI'll take pictures then!
Then Alex and David went on the
Merry-Go-'Round. I thought Alex would be scared of it, but he had fun! (o: It was making me dizzy watching him waiting to get a perfect shot of him lol
After the zoo, we went to the hospital to visit my friend Brenda and her new baby Adrian! He is so adorable, and tiny! Alex was only 1/2 inch longer than Adrian, but I don't remember him ever being so small! I KNOW that he was little at one point, but that time seems so far away now. I have my moments when I miss him being tiny. But he's so much fun now, that it goes away. Or I look at him, and see just how much he still needs me that it passes lol I love my baby! (Even though he's a toddler now, he'll ALWAYS be my baby!)
