Park Day

We went to a birthday party this weekend. It was at a park. Looking through the pictures I took LOL doesnt look like we even went to a party, but to the park LOL So This is our park day! This park was so nice, and had 2 different play areas really close by. Alex LOVED it!!!!!!!

Sprinkles

Ok, so my friend Myra posted about her AWESOME Sprinkles cupcake, and Kim told me about Sprinkles cupcakes. So we decided to give them and try and see what all th fuss was about. We take the long drive to California first o all, and then drive to Newport to get these cupcakes lol They close at 7pm, and we got there at 6:30pm! I told my friend Becky to "Tuck and roll!" And get out of the car and save our place in a long line lol So we could get these awesome cupcakes! I mean at $3.50 a cupcake they HAVE to be awesome right?! I dont know if it was because I was sick this weekend, or what, but I've made better cupcakes myself! LOLI was rather dissapointed at how sweet my vanilla cupcake was! I then took one to David and he wasnt impressed either! LOL Oh well! It was fun to drive there and hang out with my friends anyways! (o:

I'm having my class start reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! I remember reading thisbook in like 5th grade and I loved it! I remember making a classroom scene of the book! We made the door into a closet door, so people could see it from outside the classroom, and when they came inside the classroom they would see a scene from the book! I am SO doing that with my kids!!!!! I'm going to buy the movie and have the kids watch it once we are done with the book! And my vice principal is getting me Narnia-- Prince Caspian!!!And he even said we could try and take the kids in a field trip to watch the movie when it comes out!!!!!! I am so SUPER excited about this lesson!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE C.S Lewis (Even if people don't agree with his books because of the religious aspect of them. I think they inspire great imagination in kids! So there!) I love it when I'm excited about a lesson, or activity! It makes the kids even MORE excited and willing to do them with me!! I cant wait to transform my classroom into Narnia!!!!!!!!!!!

Sundance Dental!

I love my dentist!! He said that I am WAY too young to need any teeth extracted! That it's crazy to even suggest it! LOL So I get to have a fun root canal! But I'd rather have that than a tooth extraction! (o: Oh and I got MORE medicine too lol

Crappy Dentist!

I went to Western Dental and they seriously creeped me out!!!!! They took an x-ray of my tooth, and had me wait in the chair in an exam room. About 20 minutes later the doctor came in and before he looked at my x-ray or even my mouth he said "Ok well yo are going to need a tooth extraction!" I was like WHAT??!?! I was expecting a root canal or something! Not an extraction! He was really rude, and talked to me like I was stupid and have never had any dental care before! He made me so mad! I was asking him to explain the procedure, and he was irritated that I didnt know exactly how an extraction works! UGH! Then he tells me "Ok, I'll be back, and we could get the tooth out!" I was like "WAIT WHAT?!?!? No, you arent doing that!". So I got my pain medicine and left! I called my regular doctor Dr. Joe and I have an appointment at 4pm, to see him! So do NOT go to Western Dental!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS. Ibprofin (sp) 800 is AWESOME!!!!!!!

Dentist!!!!

I've been having tooth pain since yesterday! I'm going to the dentist at 3:45pm! I'm so looking forward to going!!!!!!!!!! YEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Dates are fun!

David and I went on a badly needed date Sunday afternoon! (o: We went and watched 2 movies and had dinner. We went without Alex!! We watched "88 Minutes" and "Prom Night". 88 minutes was way better. Prom Night was more of a Teen-Aged "thriller" very predictable, but I liked it anyways! Oh Oh and the best part LOL Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 will be coming out this summer!! Remember we read that book? I'm so excited!! LOL

Ok seriously the best part was just hanging out with David. (o: Dates are fun! We need to have them more often! I just feel bad working full time, and then leaving Alex while I'm not working too. But at least he's with my mom and dad (o:

L.A Fitness

Jenniffer and I decided to join L.A Fitness! Tomorrow will be our first day going! David didn't want to join since he and Dustin are going to use the Bowflex David made us buy a few years ago because he is going to use it everyday and get our moneys worth LOL No but I'm glad he's started using it again! Makes him feel good, and happy! (o:

We went to Sam's Club today (Where we got the finger paint kit lol), to get some shelving for the garage, and Alex fell asleep on his way to the store. So David was going to carry him around. I told him we could try and lay him down in a shopping cart and see what he does. Well here is the result!! I swear this kid could sleep ANYWHERE! LOL

Painting!

Since Alex's cousins "Godzilla" and "Edelweiss" had so much fun with their finger pain kit, and after being convinced by Aunt Sam that Alex would love this, we decided to give it a try! And he LOVED it!!!!! At first he wasnt sure what he should be doing, so after I dipped his fingers in the paint he got the idea. At first he would just dip one finger in, and then he eventually started putting both hands in and went to town on the kit! This is such a good idea! Since David and Dustin were working on getting the garage all organized today, Alex wanted to be outside with his "Dada" and was terribly upset he couldnt keep stabbing his dad with a screw driver LOL So I brought him inside and let him play with his new finger paints! Thanks for the idea Sam!!! (o:

Puzzles!

Alex got a few puzzles for his birthday in March. And I've been kinda leery of letting him try them. I figured he's loose the pieces or get bored and just make a mess. I TOTALLY under estimated him! He LOVED playing with them! And was actually pretty good at making the pieces fit! (o: I need to try and find some more puzzles for him to work on! I decided my son is DEFINITELY a genius!!!!!!!

Camera Phones...

I love that I could upload the pictures I take from my cell phone onto the computer!!!I always thought camera phones were kinda a waste because the pictures just stayed ON your phone. Now I use my camera on my cell phone ALL the time!!! And they take really decent looking pictures!!!!!!!! (o:

Gotta Love Kids...

I'm so thankful that not only does my WONDERFUL mom watch Alex for me, but she does it for free! We've tried time and time again to pay her for watching Alex for us, but she would deposit her "pay check" into Alex's savings account! So she said it would be a lot easier for her if we just deposited that money into his account for her. So thats what we do every two weeks. Anyway, she watched a handful of kids everyday. Right now she has Sierra 4, Prisma 3, Alex 2, Matt 1, and Adrian 5 months. She definitely has her hands full with that bunch. Now Alex and Sierra are "Best Friends". They fight like cats and dogs, but love each other to death. If any of the other kids take stuff away from either one of them, they go after that kid. Yet they could hit each other and take toys away from each other no problem? (My mom puts the in time out when they do that lol) Anyways, Prisma, Matt and Adrian are all mild tempered kids. Alex and Sierra are MENACES! If there is anything they could get into they will. Lets just say Alex + Sierra = TROUBLE!!!! So sometime last week while I was at work my sister sends me a picture message, and here they are!






Apparently while my mom was feeding Adrian and Jenniffer was feeding Matt, Alex and Sierra were supposedly in the play room right to the right of the living room. They were playing for a few minutes, and Alex kept saying he wanted to play in the "Aqua". Since it was only 8am, my mom told them they could play in the water outside after lunch. So this upset Alex greatly. But he got over it... or so they thought! LOL Sierra was upset because Alex was upset, so she took him to my mom's bathroom and turned on the water and they decided to play in the water when THEY wanted to! After like 2 minutes they were being so quiet in the play room, my mom went to look for them. Only to find they were gone! So she and Jenniffer start to run around the house looking for them. Jenniffer hears this loud "OH NO!!!!!!!" coming from my Mom, so naturally she starts to freak out lol Then she hears my mom laughing so hard! And that is how they found the kids lol In their PJ's soaking wet. Water was EVERYWHERE in the bathroom! The mirrors, the floor, the towels even the toilet! How could 2 minutes cause so much "water damage"? LOL Its kinda funny because my parents room is all the way down the hall, and the hall is really dark, so the kids NEVER go down there alone. Apparently their urge to play in the water was stronger than their fear of the dark LOL Glad I was at work when that happened! *I* certainly didn't want to clean up THAT mess!!!!

On and On

Not teaching is so boring! LOL We have testing from 8:30-12, and from 12:15-1 the kids are at lunch, they came back we read for 1/2 hr then they had music for an hour. Now it the end of day! Its been dragging on and on! Thank goodness Sam and Kim have been online off and on to keep me company!!!!!!! (o: 3 more days of this! Uh oh!!!!!!!!!

I need to buy an eclectic sharpener! Oh and body wash and hairspray and David a new tooth brush! Alex decided that David and his tooth brushes should go into the toilet! So David is using Alex's extra Hot Wheels tooth brush! LOL

SHOCKED AND APPALLED!!!!!

I was talking to my sister-in-law Sam today, and she mentioned that the New Kids on The Block were doing a come back tour thing, and I remembered how much I Loved loved loved them when I was a kid. And she had the audacity to say "I don't remember them much, you are older than I am, so maybe I was too young to care, or remember them!" AHEM!!!!!!!! I'm only 3 years older than she is!!!!! Kim who is a year YOUNGER than Sam remembers and shares the love of the NKOTB!!!!!!! I am deeply saddened that SAM DOESN'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )o: I told her that we are no longer friends lol How dare she!! lol

Stupid Taxes!!!!!!

We finally sat down and did our taxes last night! UGH!!!!!!! We owe this year!!!!!! We also got two 1099-G things and have no clue what to do with them! Umm Michelle any advice? LOL So we are supposed to get that tax relief thing in June-ish so that will even out what we owe. But having to pay makes me irritated! David was like "Well thats what we have our savings for!" LOL NO ITS NOT!!!!!!! Our savings are for emergencies or fun stuff LOL Not for paying taxes! LOL So we changed our with holdings and all that stuff today! So hopefully next year we could get some back!

Addicted to Purses and shoes....

One of my students Sara told me today that she thinks I'm addicted to purses and shoes! Is there even such a thing!?!??! Ok so maybe I do have a purse / shoe / diaper bag shopping problem! But i cant help it!!!!!!!! I just cant!!!!! If I see a cute diaper bag, or purse, or shoes I HAVE to get them! Now I dont spend our mortgage or dip into our savings for these things. I just buy them when I can. Or absolutley HAVE to have them! LOL Aparently since school has started in September, I've changed my purse like 5 times? I dont recal these alleged 5 purses I've had since September! I think my students are exaggerating LOL And SUPPOSEDLY I always have different shoes!?! I dont know what they are talking about!! Besides I give these purses a good run, and then donate them when I'm done with them! LOL A friend of mine told me that I should sign up for this "Rent a Purse" thing online where you pick a purse you want, pay like $10 a month and rent them, and then change them whenever you are done with them! LOL Now thats an idea! (o:

AIMS testing

We are taking the AIMS DPA testing (Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards Dual Purpose Assessment), so for 4 hours a day this week, teachers seriously have nothing to do! LOL So I'll be blogging quite a bit this week. If my sweet baby wasnt feeling sick, I would take TONS of pictures of his beautiful face. I dont like bugging him with pictures while he's not feeling well. He usually cries afterwards. )o:

Yikes!

David and I went to rent movies, and we saw black smoke from the Wal*Mart parking lot! So we decided to be nosey and see what was on fire! So we drive up and see a truck on fire! Like Totally engulfed in fire! Big huge flames and everything! David didnt let me get close enough to get good pictures, something about the truck maybe exploding! Then I wanted to take pictures for my blog, but I had forgotten my camera! So I took some pictures with my cell phone! Not very close, but you get the picture!

Weird!

Alex was fine all morning and afternoon! We took a nap, and he woke up with a 102.2 fever, and he thew up twice!! Ugh! My poor sad boy!! This is going to be a long night!

It's Finally Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week seemed to drag on and on! LOL I am SOOOOO terribly excited that its finally Friday!!!! I'm leaving work today at 12pm, so that's an even better reason that its Friday! LOL I have a doctors appointment for heartburn and a physical! I've been so extremely tired lately! I need some Iron or something! Or maybe a toddler who acts like a toddler at night, and sleeps all night LOL Not one who thinks he's a newborn and wakes up about 20,094,747,384,348 times a night LOL

Anyway we are going to be taking an updated family picture either on Saturday or Sunday. (hopefully). David thinks we take WAY too many pictures. Is there even such a thing? He thinks I go nuts with pictures! Weirdo guy!

I remember when he first moved in after we got married, and I put pictures of us all over the house up, he was like "This is freaky! I'm not used to having my picture all over the house! My mom only had one frame with one picture of each kid." I was like "WHAT?!?!? My mom had our pictures up everywhere!" Not that my parents loved us more than Davids parents loved them or anything, its just different decorating styles. Now my Mom only has pictures of us down the hall? LOL And decorations in the living room, and of course, pictures of Alex LOL He has replaced us I guess. On the other hand, I have pictures of family EVERYWHERE!!!!!! So if I've ever taken a picture of you, dont be surprised if you come over and your face is somewhere on our walls! (o: I think that we now live so far away from everyone, its important to have pictures of friends and family, so that Alex will be used to seeing your face, so he's not all shy and scared to see you! (o:

David says its a bad sign when Alex randomly says "Mama, Cheese!" and smiles waiting for his picture to be taken! And he's starting to pose like I tell him to! LOL Oppps!!!!!!

I would love to take some photography classes, and eventually have a photography business or something. If I was a billionaire LOL

Price for Life

I had a Newspaper activity with my kids. On how to read want ads, and apartment ads, and how to read a article. Anyway we were looking at the ads and one of my girls Jessica (who is normally pretty bright) found an ad for Qwest Phone Service and the advetisment said "$40, price for Life", and she was like "Mrs. Hendrickson, what does this mean?", so I explained that it means if you sign up for Qwest service your monthly charge will never change, and she got all bright red and said "Oh my gosh! Mrs.Hendrickson I'm so dumb! I read it as, 'Pay $40, and you could live forever! Oh no!" LOL I just looked at her like "Are you kidding me??" LOL She then got all embarrassed and bright red! My cute girl!

Oh my Gosh!!!!!!

I just heard that 9 third grade students in GA plotted to kill their teacher because she yelled at one girl for standing on her chair! They took knives, duct tape, hand cuff and other stuff to carry out their plot! I cant believe 8 and 9 year old kids could even think about that!!!! How insaine is that?!? Apparently all the kids had a job, from covering the windows, to cleaning up the blood!!!!!!!! I am seriously sick about this!! I can't believe this!! Thinking about it, its pretty scary to think that there is ONE teacher for 20-30 kids! I have 26 kids, I cant imagine having t fight some of them off if they tried to attack me!! SCARY!!!!!!

My brother Mario, and his girlfriend Becky got Alex a Baby Jamz thing. Its a baby dance revolution type of toy. Its sooo cute!! Alex LOVES it! LOL It has all these pads on it, so that when he touches each design they make a new "beat" to the song. I have to take a video of him getting down and getting funky! LOL

He was testing it out. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do.

Then he started getting funky with it LOL Threw himself on the mat, and started "break dancing" LOL
